Hey! Is ARGdb still alive?

Someone posted to the IGDA ARG SIG group asking for help creating a list of promotional games and I thought nothing of it. After all, it was a reasonable and simple request and one that I've seen countless times before. And then a message popped up.... "Hey! is ARGdb still alive?"

and again... "What ever happened with ARGdb?"
and again... "ARGdb should have that information, right?"
and again... and again...

After a morning filled with conversations about ARGdb, it hit me... people actually do think that this site can be useful! The project isn't dead! (admittedly, I can be a bit slow sometimes)

So, the conversations began... As a designer, what would you like to see the site do? As a creative director how can ARGdb help you learn about and build great games? As a player, how can ARGdb connect you to the people and games you've gotten to know over the years?

The answers have been amazing, but the discussions are far from over and I would love to have one with you - no idea is too simple or too huge... from a broken link on the site to a complex idea on visualizing the relationships between games. I want to hear it all. I want to hear it from you.

The site still needs some work and there will be many changes over the next couple of weeks & months as we implement some of the great ideas floating around... things like making it easier for folks to add information about games to creating some really cool charts and maps about the games that brought us all together. But don't wait to sign up. Go on... register and get a feel for the place, add your memories to the games you've played (or made!) and connect with the friends you've met. Once you've done that, do us a favor and let us know what you think about the place!

If you'd like to get in touch with me, directly, about ideas you have for the site (please do!), there are lots of ways...
